URGENT: (20-August-2017) the owner of the land the refugee is currently set on has decided to kick Maite and Anyelo out by the end of the month. They managed to find another piece of land not too far away (see photo!)
In order to get everything ready for the dogs, a lot of shelters need to be built and be ready within 10 days! For this, materials like cement, wooden poles, metal platings for the roofs, chicken wire and more.

You can always make a small donation, to help buy one unit:
Bag of cement: 23 sol / 7,10 USD
Sand per cubic meter: 38 sol / 11,70 USD
Stones per cubic meter: 50 sol / 15,40 USD
Piece of metal roof plating: 30 sol / 9,25 USD
Gravel per cubic meter: 60 sol / 18,50 USD
Roll of chicken wire: 360 sol / 111 USD
Tractor per hour: 120 sol / 37 USD

Above: the new grounds for the shelter! As we can see here, the place is not yet ready to house 100+ animals (that don't all get along!). A lot of work is thus still to be done.

Left: a tractor that has been hired for 4 hours (costing 480 soles / 148 USD!) to help level out the ground and put in gravel!
The needs are great at the Refuge. You can help by volunteering or making a financial donation through Pay Pal. If you are interested in volunteering, contact us at refugiodeperritoscusco@gmail.com .

The Pay Pal account is managed by another volunteer but all donations go directly to the shelter. (Note-there is a small percentage based Pay Pal fee). To donate, login to Pay Pal and search amyjcrawford@gmail.com or click the link paypal.me/amyjcrawford -make sure to put "Cusco Dogs" or a reference to the shelter when you contribute.

Supply Run!
With very little money left over for the most basic supplies, some volunteers visit the local supermarket in Plaza Real to purchase items for the shelter.
